In Blackjack, the last player to receive cards is the player sitting on the far left (ie the Dealer's right).

This player is sometimes called the "Anchorman"

When you approach the Blackjack table (or if you have a choice of tables) try to sit in the Anchorman position.

During any given hand, the other players will have received their cards first, and you will have the advantage of seeing some of the cards that have come out of the shoe.

WARNING:

Sitting in the Anchorman seat, you might Hit a high card which would have otherwise been drawn by the Dealer. That card might have Bust the Dealer, and allowed the other players to win their hands. So, the players on your right may feel that it is your fault if the Dealer draws a winning card, and they lose.

Players like that are probably holidaymakers. Ignore them, play your own hand, and do not surrender the Anchorman seat unless you are changing tables.
