Good evening everyone, the club is now open.

It is still rather chilly, so come in close to the fire and have some sherry.
No doubt there will be tailcocks and nibbles later .

Tonight's talk will be on 'Maoris I have known'

petal, how lovely to see you again.
Have you been detained for the last few weeks ?
Have a sherry .
Good evening milady, good to have you back after all the shovelling (I might have spelled that wrong). I've never known any Maoris, who is speaking?

I have some nasturtium seeds for the raffle, and a woggle I got off a Scout.
life has been somewhat nuttsy of late, also Bigs has had the cheek to be using the pc without permission!!!
Question Author
Thank you so much for those lovely prizes, boxtops. I think the woggle will be particularly sought after. We all like a good woggle.

The stravaiging went very well, I'm glad to say. Hardly stiff at all the next day.
I'm not sure who the speaker is, we get them from an agency.
Erm - I haven't got a ticket, but could I just stand at the back and listen?
is the speaker a native kiwi?
Question Author
I think you should be careful about anyone who calls themselves Mr Big, petal....sounds sinister.
What's stravaiging? Something foreign?
Question Author
Welcome, bookbinder.
Raffle tickets will be on sale later.

Do you think the agency might send round Dame Kiwi ? We could have a sing-song later.
Hello and good evening to all you mad-over-fifty guys and gals! xxx
Hope everyone is having a fabby weekend.
Bigs is quite safe, has had 25 years therapy
Question Author
Stravaiging isn't foreign where I live. People do it all the time.
Question Author
Hello society. Good to have the pleasure of your company.

Petal, dear, who is it who has had the therapy ?
lardhelmet, we've all had to be educated on milady's aristocratic habits - mamlyalynne gave me a lesson on this a couple of weeks ago. This is a Highland habit of walking the moors in the mist - with the stout boots, no doubt - she likes to do it alone. We don't get to go, we keep the lobby warm for her while she's on the wander. Milud is usually upstairs in detention.
both of us,that's how we met,I think,a long time ago,all a bit hazy
Milady, how is his nibs tonight, does he need ministration? I don't think mamyalynne has clocked in yet, she must be scrubbing the downstairs halfway mezzazine again to get rid of the deer poo.
Question Author
Well, I am very glad that you are happy, petal, very glad.

Boxtops, I hope that you will not be casting nasturtiums before the night is out. That sort of behaviour is often frowned on in aristocratic circles, you know...
... or even the mezzanine...
Is there any food tonight? I passed the icecream van in the lane, I can divert him if you like?
