Credit Cards in US SitComs?
4 Answers
In US SitComs, such as Friend,Will & Grace etc, they often "lend" their Credit Card to a friend, and this has confused me.
OK, on more modern SitComs I presume that the friend tells them their pin number(not advisable) that is IF chip and pin operates in the USA (can someone tell me)?
However, some of the SitComs are (as with Friends) presumably before chip and pin,so how does the friend who is "lent" the card sign for goods, food, etc?
Maybe I am overlooking the obvious,or is it just a device used in SitComs that doesn't happen in reality, like the goings on in soap operas.
Can someone please enlighten me?
Thank You,
Alec.
