probably wrong but I'll have a try- 20 divided by 1.3 = 15. Sorry cant find division sign on keypad.

Dividing by 1/3 is equivalent to multiplying by 3 so 20/ 1/3 = 26 and 2/3.

all i did was put in a point instead of a slash, then you do get 15. wrong i suppose. never any good at maths at school. only had eyes for the teacher!

I thought the answer might lie in Roman numerals or numbers in other bases but have played around for hours and can't solve it. i would be most interested to know the answer as and when it is revealed.

Is it some sort of riddle, Sha4on. Where was the question and who gave an answer of 1.5.

someone at work gave it me to solve...it was written as: Divide 20 by 1/3 to equal 1.5 I will find out the answer on Friday and put on here, if it's not on here first!

The answer has been given as: 20 Shillings divided by 1/3 = 6s 8d which = 1/2 mark; so 20 shillings = 1.5 marks.
