nhs agrement with private heathcare
I know the NHS sometimes will fund healthcare in a private hospi (eg if the waiting lists within NHS hosp are too long). Does this agreement have a formal title? Id presume there is a legislative agreement?
thanks to anyone who is versed in the legal aspects...

Some (not all) surgical procedures have waiting times attached to them and if the responsible trust cannot meet those then they can purchase care from private providers...they don't have to. They DO however have to meet their waiting times somehow
