It's a shame, I always tell people about this place and how fab it is.

I did wonder if I was asking too much, and obviously I was for some people.

That's a shame. I'll bring this to the attention of the ED, as answerbank was recently reviewed as being unhelpful in a magazine. This sort of thread doesn't help.

If you change your mind, just start a new thread and most of us will help where we can.

I'm enjoying having a go at this quiz - find it great fun - and as it's for a charity so much the better.

Think 2) is something holiday but haven't worked out the Bert connection yet.

Thank you Square Bear, you are a gem. I have always found Answerbank to be very helpful until this last thread. That's why I have it in my favourites.

I may start a new thread in a couple of days if I can't get any more answers.

Me neither Angleflame but I'll keep thinking about it and don't give up on this site as it isn't mandatory for AB's to get involved if they don't happen to want to and most folk enjoy the challenge of trying to solve clues.

I was saying how generous you were to donate that amount and another post got in between. I hardly think the gentle comments on this thread can be called beratng squarebear, there are others who would be plain nasty and I think you know thats not in my nature.
