I suppose i should thank those who held off asking for answers until July, as requested. I have had a scan through and see over a quarter of the quiz has now been requested, not just clues but actuall answers given. I really dont understand why?? You send in your pound (or not in some cases) and I send out a sheet of CLUES for you to answer, then you ask for a second clue!! WHY?? Just to say for those who cant or wont play the game, my next quiz can at your request be sent to you with an answer sheet for to cut out the 'middle man' and as an added bonus I wont charge any extra. That shouls make life easier for all, and maybe instead of marking answers I'll just draw one at random, infact it could just be a raffle, with a few questions thrown in!!
Cheers everyone I'll just go and waste another few hours racking my brains for a few more clues for the next quiz, due out shortly for you to ruin!!

As long as people are playing and enjoying, I don't care how they find their answers.

This debate will go on forever, or until quiz setters decide their efforts aren't worth it. I think somewhere along the line there has to be a happy medium. I agree that if someone has done the majority of a quiz themselves and need a nudge, sites like AB are great. But, over the years, I've seen the odd request for help turn into over half the quiz questions being asked on here! what is the point of sending for a quiz if you aren't going to try to complete it yourself. On occasions questions are being asked days after the quiz has been issued with months to go before the return date....Sorry, but I cant see the point in that either. The other thing that gets right up my nose is when people do come on and ask for CLUES ONLY, Clues are given as requested and then some bright sparks (and you know who you are) jump in immediately after the clue and give the answer. Well that's my two'penneth :o)
folk are allowed to voice their opinions squarebear.I've voiced mine. I dont mind helping people out on here if I can. If I came on here asking for the answers to 3/4 of the Crusader grid, you'd think why the hell does she even bother...and yes, you would I've seen some of your responses when people ask, what in your opinion are very simple questions. Well, that's how I feel about folk sending for a quiz and asking 50 of the 100 questions on here. And if you take those headphones off, you might just hear what some folk are saying ;o)

I do't send quizzes in just to win (although that would be a bonus). But if I can't finish a quiz it goes in the bin, just like all the ones you "finish"
I DO NOT object to quiz sites, it is the way a small minority abuse the goodwill of others by asking scores of questions because they can't be bothered themselves.
i am NOT the one desperate to finish each quiz to send it in but I know of at least three people who are.

I would just like to say I am with squarebear 100%, who has always been a great help.I have only asked for clues in this quiz. I can't help it of people give answers But it is a question and answer site. If you dont like people asking why bother setting the quizzes, it is the charity that suffers when people dont bother sending them in after some of the abuse we get on here. I shall say no more.
I think everyone here agrees with you squarebear, the internet is a great tool to help work out the quiz questions. I'm afraid for some people it's a means of getting answers with absolutely no effort at all (ie AB), they dont even try googling first. That's not the point really as most of the quizzes are cryptic, you wont get the answers by googling. Anyway Ive said my bit.Wouldn't it be nice if we could all get along and not have these sorts of threads every couple of months xx
