my anti virus flagged an attempt by a malicious program, it mentioned skype in the warning. that occured when I clicked on answerbank.

any clues anyone, chuck?

Funny you should mention this, as last week when i came on briefly, i got a virus warning picked up on my Avast professional anti virus program.....scanned and identified it from a chat forum.........now i only come on here now so it must be from here that the malware is being distributed....interesting to see if other people have experienced this and wha tthe Ed thinks on this matter too.

I keep getting a meesage I've never had before saying malicious program and its only on AB. Whats going off? As anyone e-mail The Ed?

Mine an Avast Pro Anti Virus as I use the PC for work....

I have AVAST...it's telling me that the URL is blocked. I also had a message-briefly-that AB had moved....!!??

I think I know what this is.

recently there has been a spate of advertising post for a registry scanning site(!) that was definitely a malware site (I spotted about 4-5 different user names spam posting the same links which I reported to the Ed earlier today) I reckon various anti virus site scanners have found the links in the spam posts and figured they are a part of AB so flagged it as a malware site!

My avast has been quiet for ages. All of a sudden today its popping up with loads of "threat detected" messages.

I'm browsing fine and have been all day.......Anti virus, ad aware and my professional firewall must be blocking them..........nothing at all on Apple lappy when i use it as immune to ANY viruses, so good for Apple :0).......haven't tried phone internet today
