Just stuck on one last one - help/clues/guidance very much appreciated.

Looking for a linkword - one that fits all three clue words. Example Burglar/False/Clock are linked by the word 'Alarm'. Doesn't have to make a phrase eg "alarm clock", could also merge with a clue word to make another word.

Clue words:
Change/Par/View

The only word that we can think of seems to fit both 'change' and 'view' is in 'Inter' as in Interchange and Interview, but I can't find a word 'parinter' or 'interpar' in the dictionary or online. Is it a Latin phrase? Are we perhaps barking up the wrong tree? Does anyone have any other suggestions/clues/pointers?

Any help gratefully received. Thanks in advance!

???
it has to start with i
Sorry, I don't think you mentioned that! I'll keep thinking.

Ooh, thanks smouse, I'd forgotten to put that! Yes, the word must start or end with an 'i'.

Thank you anyway for your thoughts, boxtops, I can see how that would work if we weren't constrained by the starting or finishing letter which I forgot to put in my question- oops!
Question Author
Thanks to boxtops and smouse for their help on this one so far. Still a bit stuck though! Can I be really cheeky and ask if anyone else has any thoughts? Thanks in advance for any help.
Question Author
Still scratching my head on this one - can't think what it could be - grateful for any help on this clue, if anyone out there can oblige!
Don't think you are alone either, am stuck on it too.
Question Author
Thanks mamyalynne, nice to know that I have company! Beginning to think that there might be a mistake on this clue and perhaps that they meant to put something instead of 'par'!
Not sure if this fits the bill
OVER

as in
Change over
Over Par
Overview
no - it has to start with the letter i
Sorry just spoted the start with an i (I read it ten minutes ago and managed to forget in that time !!!!!!)
I too now think it is a mistake.
Inter Par Latin translation means among equal the full quote is

primus inter pares = First among equals

I'm sure that's not going to help!
Question Author
Many thanks to all you kind ABers who have tried to help me with this one so far (smouse, boxtops, mamyalynne, EGTB, mazie).

It is very frustrating that the answer must begin or end with an 'i, as both the 'change' and 'over' suggestions were good. (Unfortunately, the quiz has a hidden sequence of European countries made from the either the first or last letter of the answer word, and if I'm right, this should be 'i', so our answer should begin or end with 'i'.

Looks like 'inter par' might be an abbreviation of the Latin phrase suggested by Mazie, so in the absence of a moment of genius from myself between now and posting of the quiz (v.unlikely), I'll probably stick with 'inter'.

Still think there is a possibility that the 'par' bit of the clue might be a mistake though ....
you say it can also merge with a clue word to make another word

inter can merge with par to make terrapin
Question Author
Ooh, thanks grasscarp, I hadn't thought of it that way...!
I was wrestling with this while drying my hair and couldnt go to bed without closure!
no it cant be like that
and because of the pattern it has to start with an i not end with an i
am sure its inter
it is inter smouse. interview interchange and inter merge with par for terrapin.
Question Author
Thanks everyone - think I will stick with 'inter' and see how I get on when the answers come out!

G'night all!
