Birthdays Marriages Deaths

Dear Ed
Could I suggest a category for Birthdays, Marriages Deaths then we could congratulate and commiserate with fellow answerbankers, The Category would feature celebrity occasions as well as our own answerbankers! This is prompted by the recent death of Alex Higgins where there were posts about him in Chatterbank, News, Sport and this overlapped questions and answers about him. It happens when someone important and famous dies there are posts in every category! It would make for better discussion and when we want to find out about thiese events we would all know were to look.

I think this could probably be covered in news - or alternatively, If I could link up all those questions into one thread there wouldn't be a problem.

I think a separate section would be rarely used in itself (look at current affairs under News!)

Maybe if we had front-page questions we'd have less deviation?

Ultimately I'd like few categories rather than more! Thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Good idea Oscarina, but the problem would be that the AB exhibitionists would still use CB just in case someone missed it.

P.s We have a whole section on Pregnancy under Family, but we still have to go day by day, scan by scan, every moan and shout throughout some pregnancies on Chatterbank.......urggg!

Perhaps we shoudl have a "no moaning, no pregnancy, no lunch, no hatches, matches and despatches, no overly nice, no happy birthday, no upsetting Le Sqad" section. ;)

With a subcategory for "Expensive Underwear".

Yes Less is better! Media and TV could do without the sub catergories same with Quizzes and Puzzles as it is a job trawling through the categories for help with crosswords

Shopping another category that could do with a "sale" shopping is shopping whether it is for fashion style celebrity etc! Just shopping says what it does on the tin!
