24ac LUPULIN fits the definition but is one letter short. LUPULINE is given either as an adjective to the above or as a noun described as an alkaloid extracted from hops as a colourless volatile liquid. So bibblebub's earlier link for the latter doesn't fit the definition. Just a booboo by SLEUTH?

It's up to that person or you or anyone else to decide if that makes it the right answer.
Not got an answer yet? What a shame.
Looks like you're going to have to work it out for yourself instead getting other people to finish your crossword for you; cadging answers is just about your only contribution to this site. You didn't have any problems accepting my answers in the past, but you sure ain't getting any in future.
And my avatar is directed at you - but it is just a comment (which I believe is accurate).
