My partner's 90 year old mother has completed the Daily Mail Giant Xword from 2 weeks ago except for one clue:
65 down - Humour the hound somehow injected into the thriller.

W - E - A - I -

We've been looking at 'wit' and 'beagle' but can't come up with anything. Can anyone remember the answer or work it out for her, please.
