Copyright ownership...

I am a freelance graphic designer and recently designed layouts and produced digital artwork for a number of items (music CD, promo flyers and postcards, press releases and press adverts) for an Artist.

No mention of copyright ownership was/has been mentioned regarding these items. I have been paid in full for the work I did and the items have been printed and produced and are now available to buy nationally in various retail outlets and online.

Who owns the copyright on the designs and digital artwork files I produced? Me? Or does the copyright transfer to the artist/their management company once I have been paid?

Thanks

I was provided with artist photography to incorporate in to the designs by the artist's management company but some of these images I manipulated/altered heavily in Photoshop. I also created some illustrations that were also used.
