Tonight I arrived at the shrubbery gates only to find them locked and that I didn't have my set of keys so had to go back home for them. Senior moments are something we increasingly have to come to terms with.

All is now well and the floodgates are open. Come in and discuss your strategies. Which wine is best for conjouring up the correct links? Which tipple is most likely to influence the outcome?

I have it on great authority that “The Lady Ursula” cannot be bribed (or 'wooed') into revealing her chosen links.
Following the usual format, the prelude should open on AB Q&P tomorrow at 08.45am and the four words to be linked should be posted at 9.00am, when MM Links kicks off in earnest. Remember ~ early MM hits gain bonus points!

Oh! I forgot to mention, I'll be standing in for Crofter once again this weekend. (But of course, you've already sussed that.)

. . . and as Crofter always says:-
As usual, please also look out for the international version of this same game which is called KM Links and kicks off at a very early hour (7 am). No need to rush though, since the timing of your posting is deemed to be irrelevant ~ only the number of hits you are able to register. The regular organiser of KM Links comes all the way from Oz ( Roo-land) and is our good friend, “seekeerz”. She is truly the “Wizard-ess of Oz”.

As I always say ~ “Why not chance your arm at both Link Games?” You have nothing to lose. Both games remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards to trace progress through each monthly contest.

Until I see you tomorrow, may I wish you ~ “Happy Linking”!

Too senior to climb over the gate, gen2? Surely not!

Come on gen2, she's an Essex girl!!! Take her back to Colchester and buy her a couple of drinks in the Red Lion or the George and I am sure she would spill the beans!

Strix, She is of a vintage before Essex girls were 'Essex Girls'
Thank you gen2
I am of a very similar vintage to our Lady Ursula and I lived for a few years in my youth in Lexden and later to the east of Colchester and I beg to differ!! :-))

On the other hand, it has been raining a lot so maybe it is 'too wet to woo'.
has everyone gone home????
Question Author
I'm still here Jan, but not for long - I'm hanging around waiting for a reply to an email.
good, was beginning to get lonely
Question Author
Just got myself a whisky. Ahhh. That's better.

It is generally quiet here whenever Pauline goes off gallivanting so there's seldom any mess to clear up. You say it is a charity do tonight - Is she fund raising or hell raising?
Good evening all....as you say it is quiet here tonight....but without Pauline!!

I thought about posting something from Sweet Charity, but to liven it up how about.....

Evening Twix, that was a rousing link for someone about to go to bed!

I've now received my email reply and I'm thinking of turning in now (got an early start tomorrow)

Goodnight all.

Maybe evsajo will drop in and keep you company when she finishes her scrabble game(s)
Goodnight Gen2, although you could have another nightcap to put you back in a drowsy mood. I may have one myself, I've only got another 3 to 4 hours before I hit the hay, but then I don't bother to get up at the crack of dawn at the weekends!
