I greet you with a final “Good Morning” to all you AB Linkers in my alter ego “The Lady Ursula”, as I begin to get ready to slip back into my every-day role as owllady. As you will see, my life was about to come full circle. After leaving Norway, we moved back to Scotland and “the Kingdom of Fife” as the locals proudly refer to it. It struck me that the surrounding county was very similar to Lincolnshire with a strong farming tradition
At that time, there was also a large fishing community, although I think this has declined a great deal. There were some picturesque little fishing villages, where we could watch the fishing boats entering harbour and landing their catch. We would buy truly fresh fish direct from the quayside. For our holidays, we would travel north to the Highlands to enjoy the spectacular scenery with its countless mountains and lochs. Try as we may, we never did see Nessie though! All in all, I enjoyed my time connected to the RAF, which was responsible for my being bitten by the travel bug. Unfortunately, my marriage broke down, so I moved back south to the area I knew and loved.
