18d Planetarium

Hi harcourt - it's always nice to include the number of letters & any you've placed, so that people without the puzzle can more readily help you - thanks! :-)

thank you.
Not a great clue though.
I would hardly call a planetarium an instrument.
sure it's not planisphere?
A planetarium can be the instrument of projection, the building itself or a mechanised model
mrsmojojojojojo's answer looks better- does it fit the letters?
I suppose Lie-in King, but having worked in two, I still say it's not a great clue :)
Orrery?
Assuming the checking letters have been entered correctly -

??A??T??I?M

Collins shows the answer precisely as defined by the clue
Oh don't get me wrong, I don't dispute the answer, but I still think the clue wasn't great :)
I'll go with lie-in-King then based on the known letters
