In a word, no. Once the powder comes off the wing, it never comes back.

a tiny amount of superglue applied with a cocktail stick or toothpick, If you put the butterfy in the fridge for 5 mins. so that it becomes torpid then your attempts at prosthetic surgery might be more successful. I had a wood wasp with a torn wing in my garden a few days ago, gave her some syrup and watched her wander off into the grass and 2 days later there she was on my doorstep dead.( It was the same one, same wing same tear) quite sad really.
I am now sitting here feeling sorry for a woodwasp who crawled back in her dying state to the front door to seek assistance of the kind person who gave her syrup :o(

Woodwasps have never endeared themselves to me before. I am reformed.
Would recommend the wheelie bin, but do watch out for cctv.........know what I mean?
wow just watched that video...amazing...would never have thought you could just glue a new one on...
