Mad over Fifties Club

The Club is now open.

What a delightful week we have had, climaxing in a glorious day at the local fruit and flower show where lordalex's onions failed to impress the judges yet again, but his leek was highly commended.

My own efforts in the home baking classes also got the thumbs down, but perhaps, as the judge commented, raisin and anchovy scones are something of an acquired taste.

My contributions to tonight's raffle are:

6 parsnips
3 carrots
and half a ball of gardening twine

As I am having trouble with the site tonight, I will post this slightly early.

I'm not staying, just stop by to drop of these flowers, all of which I plucked from my garden, and these apple pies. The pies are still warm so Mammy maybe you could get the vanilla ice cream out of the freezer that's in the garage. Ttts, Ladyalex has a beautiful crystal vase in the parlour, (she got it from her majesty when she last visited). You could use it to put the flowers.

Ok, it was nice seeing every one of you nice people again but I must leave now otherwise the ship won't sail without me :-) Have a fun evening ya' all! xxxxx
