Mrs Micmak always buys Tetleys. It is nice and strong with a goon flavour. Last week she bought the catering pack size. Two reasons 25% extra free and it was a good price. I opened it today and it is not the same. It's weak and has little flavour. So in trying to save a couple of bob it is £15 wasted. I tried using 2 bags per cup but the flavour is not there. I have complained to Tetleys via their website but I don't hold out much hope. Just thought I'd tell you so you don't waste your money.

Question Author
Good not goon.
i think a goon flavour could make it more interesting though
Try 'Yorkshire Tea', makes a great cuppa
you mean it has bluebottles in it micmac?
goon flavoured tea...nice...lol
ah catering pack size, watered down for the masses

I suppose its a lesson learnt?
I would agree that catering pack tea is weaker generally - although I can't say I have ever bought Tetleys. Tetleys tea is my favourite too, good strong black tea!! Changed to Yorkshire and then went back to Tetleys - more taste.
the smell of the stuff makes me hurl...sorry :-0(

lol bobbi
That's exactly how it tasted cazz. I would have thought Tetleys would have a reputation to uphold.
Y'all should try Barry's Tea - now there's a decent brew!!
Really Bobbi. I like sniffing tea bags. My son noticed I sniffed the tea bags in the tin before I make tea and then sniff my tea. Well, they say it's a drug!!

My son can't stand it either!!
Has to be strong though, not cat's pee!!!
I had a "twinings" take away tea from a station cafe, considering the amount of advertising "bragging" that it was twinings and as such it was a superior type of tea, I was quite disappointed when I tasted it and it tasted like boiling hot washing up water.
Yuk!
