The 2nd line has 2 ghosts and 2 pumpkins equal to 30. We know 2 ghosts are 14 so 2 pumpkins must equal 16. from that we can work out a pumpkin is 8.
The third line down shows that a ghost(7), a pumpkin(8) a bat and a spider equal 20. We now know that a bat and a spider add up to 5.
Finally, the bottom line shows a pumpkin(8), 2 bats and a spider add up to 16, so 2 bats and a spider are 8. 1 bat + 1 spider =5 so a bat must be 3 and a spider 2.
From this we can work out the left hand column (7+7+8+3) 25!
