The KM Links Game - October Results

Good morning everyone - bright and early with todays links and the round-up for the month and needless to say, not disappointed with the turn-out from our entrants. As predicted, not quite so much choice as last week and a couple of the matches not quite so well supported, but they were all matched which is the main thing.

The matches were -

Seed Pearl
Oxford Blue
Coral Reef
Young Berry

Tearinghair was the only one to earn points with Seed Pearl and Young Berry was also a bit quiet, but the other two found lots of friends.

LYSANDER was the big mover and shaker, scoring 6 points for three correct matches,
10 entries collected 3 points for two correct and a further 31 added a point to their tally for the month.

Of course the Leader Board did its usual gymnastics and that will follow on after but for now I shall wish you all a good week, and hope to see you next Saturday when we'll reconvene, same time, same place to take on the new month ..... cheers, skz

And I'm still looking for a helper for the weekend before Christmas - especially for the Saturday, I can manage the scoring if you don't mind the results coming in a day late,
but our daughter will be home prior to her heading off for Bali for the holidays and we really have a lot planned - so help please !!

And if the Telegraph doesn't come out on Christmas Day then we'll be able to cope with that, so it's falling into place [ I think !! ] bye for now, Steff

Thanks seekerz, and well done everyone particularly the high scorers. I wasn't on the right wavelength for most of the time, but was surprised that no-one else fancied Seed Pearl.

Well, I'm in good company with my one little, shrivelled point! It seems a lot of hard work and nervous energy to average just one fifth of a point per week. But hearty congratulations to lysander and of course to that quiet little mouse who came so close to glory this month.

Steff - if someone will post the clues on your 'weekend off' then I will have a go at the scoring. I don't get the paper until much later in the day, which won't suit the early birds.

Any tips on how best to record the entries??

Rose, that's very sweet of you, scoring isn't the easiest of tasks as Strix will not doubt back me up - and I'm afraid I do all mine 'long hand' rather than on a spread sheet - my computer is most unreliable, likely to lose vast amounts of valuable info without warning,
so I just score each entry [1,3,6,10] and adding up at the end... but I am hopeful I can do the scoring, it's just the Saturday that's the hard part. I shall have to speak very sweetly to Strix and see if he can post the words at 7.00am - he's got a good handle on the chat that goes with it and he gets his xword the same time I do - but thank you once again for the offer, that's very kind xx Steff

Thanks Steff - a zilch for me this time, but glad still to be on the scoreboard! I've never heard of Young Berry, I would never have guessed that one.
