The Club is now Open.

Good evening one and all and welcome once again to the Club.

Drinks and nibbles will doubtless be arriving soon, so please everyone draw up your chairs to the fire and get cosy for another doubtless eventful club night.

The Committee have been in session for most of the week , mainly discussing the raffle. As regular attenders will know, there have been certain allegations made, sometimes sotto voce, but nevertheless allegated, that the raffle draws are less than fair.

This has been a source of concern to the Committee, so it has decided to Take a View.
Once the View has been decided, the Committee will inform members in the usual manner.

So far we have the following donations for this week's raffle:

2 packets of Extra Strong Mints
1 tube of denture fixative
6 bars of Wright's Coal Tar Soap
and a bottle of Cod Liver Oil (only a couple of teaspoons removed).

Drinks and nibbles here Milady, a very good evening to you.
The broomstick started first time tonight so I'm popping in early. I can't stay long but am donating a folding deckchair for the raffle. Is that IK?
Question Author
Good evening to you, Mamyalynne.
It's rather chilly tonight. Hope the fires are all banked up and the boiler stoked.
For the raffle I have
a pair of fishnet popsox (lime)
Hot water bottle cover
12 dolly pegs
2 donkey stones.

I take the View that the allegigations whether sotto or notto are rubbish
Question Author
Hello DSJ, how nice to see you and thank you so much for the deckchair.

Mamya will make sure that it is kept out of lordalex's sight....he had a bad experience with a deckchair many years ago and they tend to put him into a bit of a mood.
evening all.coal tar soap eh!haven't seen that in a while.nearly fell in the moat, poachers setting off fireworks, not just catherine's wheels either
Fires are roaring Milady oh a deck chair how kind of you DSJ
Question Author
We are as one as regards the allegators, Mamya.
I do hope I win the donkey stones tonight. Haven't seen one of them for ages.
Question Author
petal, how nice to see you again. Do take care on the drawbridge, dear. You know that you are sometimes a little unsteady when you've taken your meds.
Evening Petal.
what size of donkey stones?have a few staddle mushrooms from Versailles, bit out of place at our coal bunker
About 5"x3"x1" does it matter they do a gradely job on the steps.
Who's taking the money for the raffle tickets tonight? Here's a sixpenny bit, is that enough for one ticket?
Question Author
we only accept paper legal currency, DSJ.
no matter Mamya,just curious.
is there a talk or ,dare I say, a demonstration this evening?
Question Author
Do you sit round on them of an evening, petal ?
If you do, please be careful when it's cold out......
Oh sorry, I thought maybe a sixpenny bit would be worth more than a £5.00 note these days. Inflation and so-on.
Question Author
We daren't have a demonstration in case the windows get broken by a splinter group.

I am awaiting volunteers for giving a talk. Perhaps you would oblige, petal ? Flower arranging , perhaps ?
Question Author
Well, just give us the £5 and keep the tanner, DSJ
