I got to know the Buxton Mountain Rescue Team when I was a St John Ambulance volunteer in Buxton. They are busy throughout the year due to the terrain which they cover. In addition to call outs to walkers/climbers in difficulties, they are often called to assist the emergency services during the snowy winters when road ambulances cannot reach isolated locations. The team is operated by highly skilled volunteers and rely solely on public donations to maintain & renew specialist equipment. I hope you will give your support, I know it will be much appreciated.
