Yeoman's buses

i am getting a bus tomorrow from my village to town which i have never used before, it is a yeoman's bus, does anyone know, will they allow dogs as i need to take Russ with me?

Hahaha, nah, he'd fidget too much! anyone know if they actually do take dogs without me having to dress him up? lol

I've never come across any local bus companies which don't accept well-behaved dogs, so I doubt that you'll have any problems. If you're not travelling until after their office has opened, phone them on 01432 356202 to check.

I've tried looking on their website, are Yeomans Coaches the same as Yeomans Buses, or not? I suggest you ring them to be on the safe side.

Or Plan B.......... just say he's assisting you, as you're not quite sure what day it is today....(late night/dodgy medication/weird mushrooms/your in love bigtime etc.......they'll swallow it....lol )

If it's a bus,benny, their criteria may be TOTALLY different, so i would do as the lovely Boxy and Chris has suggested, and call them in the morning.....see no reason why Russ should'nt be allowed on. if it's a BUS, not a coach, which is obviously for longer journeys.

If he is going to be an assistance dog I hope he has grown a bit. JRs are not terribly large dogs. They terrify me for many reasons.

Yeomans Canton operate both coach and bus services. While, like almost every other tour operator, they don't accept dogs on coach holidays, I would still expect them to take dogs on their normal buses, like this one:

I would be surprised if many bus operators would allow dogs on their buses, except assistance dogs.

I wouldn't fancy being a passenger being sniffed by, growled at, barked at or bitten by someone's dog.

How many stories do we here of someone's 'normally well behaved' dog attacking someone?

I have only lived in the village for 2 months hence i have not used the bus service. :-)

We went to the bus stop and waited for ages in the cold but then a very nice lady in a BMW pulled up and asked if i wanted a lift so i said yes, she was very chatty and loved Russ! so never did find out hopkirk. lol

Local bus services, as against touring coach operators, will allow dogs on a leash to be carried, providing it does not upset other passengers. At one time you had to buy a child's ticket for a dog.

the bus i used to catch from my old village charged 30p for russ which is reasonable considering he pretty much uses a whole seat to sleep on. lol

In my neck of the woods they don't charge for dogs any more, but it may be different out in the sticks.
