I think it's ten. I worked it out backwards, starting with 100 -

Nine tenths of 100 = 90

Eight ninths of 90 = 80

And so on. And I hope I haven't confused you further, becsue the harder I think about it the more confused I'm getting!!

The sum compresses down to become one-tenth of 100.

If you right it all down in the form
1/2 x 2/3 x 3/4 etc., they all cancel out until you are left with 100/10 = 10
