Hello - and a Happy Christmas to everyone!
Please help with a local quiz?
WHO decided that Christmas would be on December 25th?
Was it the Emperor Constantine, or a Pope?Or someone else entirely?
It was one of the Caesers I think. The date was used for worshipping all kind of Gods -in order to ensure that the crops came back in the summer. Can't remember which Roman leader it was that wanted to revert to Christianty but daredn't incur the wrath of the Pagans. To please all he declared the 25th December as Christs birthday, so in fact we are celebrating an old Pagan festival also.
