I didn't want to get enthrawled into the random nonsense that so often occurs in CB so even though i'm not asking the answer to a quiz question, I'm asking if the following is reasonable to assume.

You get a question that asks, 'What are the inhabitants of Tangier called?' And the answer turns out to be something silly like 'Tangerines,' Is it then reasonable to assume that the answer to a question which asks 'What are the inhabitants of Lesbos called?' is Lesbi(o/a)ns, which ended up being pronounced lesbians? Which is an equally silly but plausible answer from the point of view of the person who answered.

They were close though, the answer is lesbosians, which sounds similar.

The rest of us couldn't stop laughing!
