20dn: Die protecting one thing one really cares about (7). I have P_S_I__. I'm thinking PASSION, but not quite sure why.

32ac: In West End, I'm performing title role (5). I have T_M_(N) if 'PASSION' is right. I'm thinking TIMON, but again not sure why other than maybe it has something to do with the Shakespeare play Timon of Athens.

Can someone put me out of my misery?

Having posted, I think the penny has dropped!

PASSION ==> really cares about: made up of, die = PASS ON; and I = one thing.

TIMON ==> leading role in Shahespeare play: made up of T = end letter of West; and I'M; and ON = performing. A bit weak, but it's sort of there. Anyone agree?
