city link deliveries

was told my package would be here monday between 7.30am / 5.30 pm,it's not come and same today so far, not come
have tried 6 times to ring them on various numbers on their web page but they are not taking calls (too busy)or replying to e-mails
anyone else having problems with "city link"i cant stay in the house 9hrs every day waiting and i don't have anyone else to take this large package in

let them deliver it, then they have to take it back to the warehouse and leave you a card to come and collect. Then you can go when it suits you

yes thats true but i paid for delivery and its a round trip to the local depot of 40 miles thats £4.50 fuel cost in my car which wont carry the 47" tv I've ordered it too big anyway

this is the bug bear with internet ordering if only all (some do) actually call you a couple of hours before hand to say they are on there way it would be a great help then if i'm out locally doing the usual daily chores i could easily nip back home,instead of waiting ALL day for nothing

you could always ask the seller to give you the tracking code

of course ive got that, it's Amazon whos the seller its city link the delivery people saying on the tracking page it will be here at the times i stated in my earlier text and now it 6.00pm another day wasted

have to say i had problems with amazon sending me things via citylink before (i paid for next day delivery and it didn't come)
they did refund me the postage and it came the next day

it is a shame the internet seller cant get there act together with a more flexible system like the one i had once who called me to say he would be here in 2 hrs time (Amazon gave them my mobile number at my request, I could have had to take two days off work for this for nothing as it is I'm off anyway, 5 mins a ago i managed to find a number for my local depot,not the web page one, and spoke to a very polite and helpful bloke ( i actually got through this time) he said it had arrived to them today and i will deff be here Friday he also said it should not have said on their web page arrival wed 4th ,so fingers crossed
