Is there something wrong with the postal service?

I've been waiting for 2 editions of a magazine which I subscribe to. I contacted GreatMagazines, the distributors on Wednesday and was told that I should have received the first one on the 28th Dec. The second was should have been received tuesday this week. Now obviously due to Xmas and New Year holiday I would expect a some delays but this is ridiculous. My post usually arrives between 12 and 1 and I've had nothing today.

You've reminded me that I got a subscription to Marie-Claire for Xmas and haven't received one yet, January's must have been out for ages I'd have thought.

The bumper edition was dated to the 31st Dec so I was waiting for the one from 1st to today. I use it as a TV guide mainly.

I think they usually send monthly magazines out a month before Prudie.

I don't buy newspapers or actual TV guides so I rely on it for tv stuff and a bit of goss I suppose.

just got my birthday card today from puss&doc was posted 21st december still waiting
for items from ebay paid for 18th dec would expect some delays but this is ridiculous

Hello there tigger,
I subscribe to "Country Life" (posh,aint I)
It's a weekly magazine,which should arrive on a Wednesday.
For the past four weeks or so it's arrived up to 4 days late.
I asked the magazine subs people,but they said that they sent it out on time(and I don't distrust them),this means that the Royal Mail is still backlogged?
Seems a bit odd after all this time!
Also out post normally arrives between 9.50 and 10am,but lately has arrived as late as 3pm!

Funnily enough one of my Heat editions arrived today at 3pm. Again like you say Invictas its never on time these days, daywise or time of daywise. The snow melted away several days ago so I don't see why its taking so long. I don't mind a day here and there but 4+ days is pretty ridiculous. What if you're waiting for something urgent to arrive or you were supposed to receive something to do with your finances which needed urgent attention?!

My magazine(due to arrive las Wednesday) arrived today.
Hopefully next weeks will arrive on time,but who knows?
