I seem to remember a similar case on Jerry Springer(where else) where the "husband" of 11 years confessed to "his" wife that he was actually a woman!
It was amazing what the wufe believed of him.

I agree. I can see no grounds for prosecution. Interesting to note, though, how the paper makes insinuations by describing the defendant as 'cropped-haired', leaving little to the imagination.
"Obtaining sexual favours by fraud." The PC who was undercover so long that he forgot where his sympathies should lie had told the Mail that he'd had 2 relationships while on duty. Would those women not feel they've been tricked too?
