Would it not be easier if the Northern Echo just posted the complete quiz on Answer Bank?

It would save us Desperate individuals the time of have to post links to the questions we’re struggling with

Of course I only do the quiz for the fun of it and to make new friends on the internet, its nothing to do with the money

But if anyone does happen to know the answers to the following it would really increase my fun, not to mention the chances of the cash :)

This quiz has appeared in the Northern Echo for the last six or seven years.

It is only this year that requests for repeated answers seem to have occurred on this site especially with picture questions. Is it just becoming harder to google answers ?

I think you'll find this is the 25th anniversary of the quiz, it’s only recently been available online

Its becoming harder because when you Google anything it leads back to this type of site

I just think it’s a bit rich when some one who claims to be doing it for ‘fun’ asks for 60 answers, all the pictures in one post

it is fun to do .Some people on here do it solo .Some do it in teams of six or more.In the past i never used answer bank and subsquently never knew many pictures,so now i put it out there ,if people know answers and pass them on fair enough.You never get anything if you do not ask.

Im not sure I can see the fun in copying questions from a newspaper into ‘a question and answer site’ and then copying the answers onto an answer form, but I guess it would be boring if we were all the same

Are you on a mission tomjoad2011? You are doing lots of puffing and blowing, yet to date your solitary question and five answers (incl one deleted) have all been on the same topic. You don't come over as a Superbrain.

No mission or crusade just my own small attempt to point out the hypocrisy of people claiming to do a quiz for ‘fun’ but asking 60 out of 300 questions in a single post within 8 days of the quiz being released.

Is there really any enjoyment in doing that, not even making an attempt at any of them?

Sorry Ive only asked the one question, maybe I should have asked 300 and just waited for everyone else to answer them for me

Whats the point in everyone getting all the answer from sites like this, all it means that everyone who submits an entry gets the same score and they draw lots, the Northern Echo quiz has always been a lottery, usually due to the poor standard of questions

How much is it if I can't promise to behave :-)

Asking here is the same as finding answer in a book as i used to do since 1997,when I first did the quiz.If libraries were open more hours and work did not interfer more time could be spent finding answers.A delivery man who won it obtained answers from everyone he came in contact with.That was one heck of a team

In Quizzes and Puzzles we occasionally have users decrying the posting of questions from a Quiz … This is a Q&A site after all … It is suggested that those wishing not to know the answer simply do not read the question.

Oh come on redhanded do you really believe posting asking for answers to ALL 60 of the images is the same as looking in a book

The images are traditionally the most difficult part of the quiz as you need to have some sort of clue to where to even start to look for the answer in a book

Surely you could have made some attempt at the images before posting, if you didn’t know any of the 60 then may be it’s the wrong quiz for you

If you want to win the money or get your name in the paper good luck to you, but I just cant see the fun in it

I don’t understand the need to post vast amounts of questions, as I originally said why don’t the Northern Echo just post the complete 300 questions here and everyone wins

Many of the pictures are used in the paper the northern echo,which i look at back copies in a library.Due to the nature of society today many of these are missing so i trace others by books and if i have an idea of who it is i check it on the net,sometimes actually seeing the exact picture.Work has prevented me from my usual modous operandi so i have sped operations up a bit by asking about all pictures even the ones i knew already.

Many people do not take the time to check the answers they get here or from friends etc so answers must be checked out .In doing that many more interesting things are found out and a wealth of knowledge is obtained.
