Do you think 'A very singular river' could be Avon, or is that a bit obscure?

Oops, just noticed the answer should have 5 letters, not 4, so perhaps it's not Avon after all ;-)
What do you think about 'exchange on a commodity' being Sale, and 'start the game' being Deal? Just wasn't sure you had seen my suggestion.
