6d sound heard that's dramatically serious (8) I have 'straight' and I realise it can be a straight part in a play but why 'sound heard'? Many thanks

perhaps because a strait can also be known as a sound so they are heard the same?

Yep, a strait is a stretch of water - as in the Dover Strait
