Did a disease make Romans leave Britain?

I think I was told that a lot of disease contributed to the problems the Romans were having in Britain, and may have been a deciding factor in them eventually leaving, can anyone remember what it was put down to, Colds, Flu or Cholera or something? Thanks.

It is more probable that the Romans were forced into leaving Britain due to their Empire being attacked by lots of different barbarian tribes. These included the Huns and Visigoths. This meant that their soldiers were recalled to Rome.

they came to Britain to see what was here worth plundering, they stripped it of it's natural resources as much as they could then decided it wasn't worth fighting for and so went home where it was warmer and rained less,

Markrae - the pre-Roman people of the British isles certainly made cloth woven with bright stripes and checks....ie tartan.....whether they clamped them into pleats and wore the cloth as man-skirts or made it into trousers, we don't know for sure.

Severus, the only black Roman emporer was the last one to try to conquer the whole of Britain. However the scots were too well spread out and would not fight how the romans wanted them to they preferred hit and run tactics. Severus was ill when he was here and intended to returne to Rome. However, he never made it and died in York. This was the last time the romans made any real effort to conquer although many of them remained to live here
