MM Links February 2011 [Week 3]
54 Answers
Good Morning, MM Linkers, and welcome to the third week of my reign as Lady Alex the Leisurely.
As I have mentioned in previous posts, the way I have spent my leisure time has changed over the years and perhaps the biggest change came when we moved from Essex to Angus to an old house which needed “a bit of work”. At this time, we were also blessed by the arrival of our Son-and-Heir so, inevitably, free time became rarer, as we were pretty busy with baby and DIY.
I will spare you the harrowing stories of renewing radiators, wrestling with woodworm and dealing with drains -- as I'm sure you will all have your own DIY recollections to amuse you in the long dark nights. Suffice it to say it was just as well we could not afford a divorce lawyer.

I took up my (t)rusty needles and began to tackle handicrafts of various descriptions. Determined to find a craft I could, if not master, at least be passable at, I tried sewing, knitting, embroidery, crochet, tapestry, cross stitch and even had a go at macramé. Nothing, if not ambitious, I even found some old instruction leaflets for smocking and eventually managed to fashion a smocked romper suit for the Son-and-Heir. Unfortunately, the beautiful garment was not finished until it was about two years too late for him to wear it!
There was also the sad tale of the Aran sweater intended for Lord Alex, which after one wash magically transformed into a dress. I think it better to draw a veil over the further macramé attempts, as I am pretty sure that there is still a ball of string and a tangled mess lurking in the attic grinning evilly at me, challenging me to have another try at making that elusive plant pot holder.
These setbacks, however, have not deterred me and I am still to be found wielding knitting needles and occasionally an embroidery hoop.

According to normal practice, for the everyday running of MM, I will follow the usual rule on word length as introduced by crofter. Each of my pre-selected link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts! Each of my selected link words may go in front or behind my challenge word! The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm, when crofter will declare my pre-selected words and then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past.
My third set of four words to have their links predicted should appear below at 9.00am.
