Finding logos

Do any of you expert quizzers have any tips on how to find logos please?

I have used Google Images now until my eyes are going squiffy (or is that the sherry?) and there are four or five logos I just can't find.

Apart from giving up what would you do?

Are you looking for a specific logo? or just logos in general?

Specific logos Davethedog ... they are almost impossible to describe though so wouldn't know where to start.

One is two hands - one pointing upwards and the other downwards with the thumbs interlocking. (5,7,2,7)

Then similarly there are two interlocking hands that look almost like a tennis ball and the thumbs make an "s" in the middle. (5)

Was thinking they could be charity logos but have Googled and inspected every charity logo I could and had no luck.

These are from the Deeping Lions quiz that closes at the end of August so still lots of time to search. All logos are UK. I usually describe logos or put in categories such as UK Charities and find they come up reasonably easily. The second one certainly comes up under charities. Hope this helps.

A roundabout way of doing it with Firefox would be to scan each image (so you need access to a scanner), upload the pictures to an online image hosting site such as Photobucket, and then use the Firefox add-on Tineye https://addons.mozill...reverse-image-search/ to see what it can find - but no guarantees of success even then.

OK - think I have now looked at EVERY one of the MILLIONS of logos via Google and am now boggle-eyed and all Googled-out!
Just got four left to find and whilst I know the closing date is not until August I hold out no hope of finding them.
Do I give up or wait until nearer the closing date or start begging?

Just put it to one side now - don't give up!
You may just come across them in magazines, newspapers or adverts before August.

BetteK , I too am more than crosseyed looking at google images.
I found the second of your logos by trawling very slowly and lightly putting curser over "posters of logos". I could do with a clue as to the circular one with a type of cross in it. good luck.

Hi noodledoodle ... the one you mention I have yet to find ... and it is driving me potty! That plus three others ... thought about sitting with the yellow pages later on but don't hold out much hope of finding any that way - not the ones I have missing at any rate. Guess we need to keep searching, searching, searching!

Thanks for the clue owllady ... I feel sure I have seen this logo but have had no inspiration as to where. Hubby thought a hotel chain and I went down the pharmaseutical company line - with your help am now off to make further investigations .... today was looking like being a bit glum but now I am all tingly and excited!!!!

Goodness me - could be on a roll now! Just glanced at one of the other logos I am missing and suddenly knew what it was! How strange after all the time I have spent looking at it.
Only problem is I think the letter count for it is wrong. I have checked the logo and I am right but can't make the letters fit what they want.
What would you more experienced quizzers do please?
Is the quiz-setter able to confirm the letters/words required are correct please?
