Dooby Duck's Disco Truck!
Blimey, it's been a while since anyone asked about it - I'd just about managed to forget about it and then you went and reminded me. AAAAAARGHHHH!
Dooby Duck was/ is a string puppet and had three series with BBC TV. The first 'Dooby Duck's Disco Bus' was made in 1988. the thirteen x 5 min programmes were a big hit with University students etc and it drew an audience of 3 million which was amazing for a show at 3.55 in the afternoon. the second series was 'Dooby;s Duck Truck' and this was in 1990 with the last series 'Dooby Duck's Euro Tour' being made in 1992. Dooby went to make a series for NHK in Japan in 1995.

He appeared with major stars in the 1980's/ 1990's and was a regular in Pantomimes and summer season's.

He also appeared in shows in France and Germany and had long seasons at Lowe's Hotel Monte Carlo

He is character from a major UK based Puppet Company and is currently presenting 'Dooby Duck's Travel Show' in the Puppet Castle at Butlin's Resort, Minehead.
