iTUNES REDEEM CODE ILLEGIBLE
8 Answers
Bought an iTunes card in HMV yesterday.
As I scratched with penny, some of the cover over code came away messy/gluey/sticky and COVERED the code. The code could not then be read.
This has never happened before. Ive been using iTunes for quite a few years.
HMV were unhelpful.
Have tried apple support lines but the query doesnt come up as an answer.
Any ideas how to solve it. Thanks in advance.

Specifically this bit will help you
"When you buy something from a shop you are entering into a legally binding contract. Therefore they don’t have to give you a refund simply because you have changed your mind. Only if one of your statutory rights is breached (i.e. that the item is damaged, of poor quality or not fit for purpose"
Print it off, go and show them, threaten with trading standards

ojread2.....fair play to you. I went in today and when they were slow to do anything except shrug shoulders I told them item was not 'merchantible quality.' That seemed to push a button. I have followed advice and emailed apple support. Fair play to them I already have an automated acknowledgement on that. Thanks to all here for their help. I just found HMV so so rude and unhelpful.
