Another year

Got up this morning looked in the mirror and said Happy Birthday to you.86 today, I had to say it myself as I live on my own and have done for 16 years.
5 cards so far, probably one more to come ( if he remembers) and then two more when my daughter brings her two children over after school.
What a difference to last year - I was in hospital and the ward sister made sure all staff and patients knew, and I had plenty of well wishers, even had a cake oF which I actually got one small slice. Still a lonely day in my own home on my own is better than last year.
