FAULTY SETTEE
I first posted a question regarding this problem 28th April to which I had some very helpful replies. The problem still has not been rectified, we have contacted the shop twice sending letters of complaint recorded delivery but just got a standard letter back stating that we would have to accept a replacement and would not give us a refund. They have phoned this morning and left a message saying the furniture is now ready for delivery and for us to contact them to arrange a day for delivery. I have filled out forms to see if we could claim on our credit card as someone suggested but as yet have not had a reply. We really don't know what to do next as we just do not want a replacement which we have been telling them since beginning of March. I have been in contact with Citizens advice who said the company is well within there rights to offier a replcement, but can understand why we don't want one, and just suggested that if we can't come to some compromise we would have to take it to court. The thing is if we accept the replacement we ordered two matching chairs before the problems occurred with the settee which we still owe the balance for. The settee is of very poor quality and has cracks in the leather already. Has anyone any suggestions what we should do. (Please read my original posting 28 April) Thanks a lot.

I believe where the item is faulty, you are within your rights to have a full refund. If you paid with your credit card (even if only a deposit which is more than £100) then you can legally make a claim through the card issuer.
