When I had a birthday party some time ago a friend of a friend bought me orange blossom (which sounds horrid) and you know the little bottle with the pump on the end of it - God bless my beautiful Aunt Madge - she had one too - however the orange blossom with laura ashley - and you know I never appreciated it until one night I sprayed around the bedroom and it is absolutely a beautiful scent.

Now I think Laura Ashley discontinued but you can buy it (can't remember the site from ebay) £110 omg. Would you pay for that after all you can't get a sniff from the ebay. When I think of it when I go into town (which I loathe) I may try perfume shop - any ideas anybody.

I hate to hurt your feelings mazie - looked at the site - but how do you know it is nice if you haven't tried yourself. but thanks anyway
I haven't tried it either but I was also going to suggest Jo Malone - her stuff is meant to be the best.
conne, mazie's trying to help, she's heard from others that it's nice - that's a bit of an abrupt response..... and perfume is very personal. I can't stand some fragrances which others think are lovely.
If it's Jo Malone, it will be nice. Her perfumes are fantastic.
It doesn't really matter if Mazie likes it or not though Conn, it's whether you like it or not, Mazie has just given you an idea for looking in the right direction for other orange blossom scents. Just as an aside, Jo Malone stuff is very nice.

sorry to offend you Mazie - but at this time of the morning - am very sluggish per se. apologies God I am always getting told off.

Boxtops - maybe my answers are abrupt but that is the type of person I am- never meaning to offend - just offering quick answers. thanks - have actually contacted jo malone already - perhaps to see if they have it in the perfume shop - so I act quickly. Good morning boxtops - no offence meant
I am pretty sure you will only be able to buy directly from Jo Malone. They are very protective of their brand and will not dilute the cachet by selling it in the likes of Boots or The Perfume Shop.
LOL...Connemmara, you haven't upset me, so don't worry. (Thanks guys xx) I know a number of people who use Jo Malone and they all say how lovely it is. Myself I only use Lidl's own perfume and at £3.99 a bottle I'm not inclined to change that. It smell just like Chanel Mademoiselle.

forgive me can I ask this dopey question does LOL mean lots of laughs

lots of love, or what
Question Author
what is the proper name of the perfume in Lidl - might try it - some perfumes give me a headache. God I am rambling here- time for bed again. Mr Harv is still sleeping in his wee bed - having been up at 5 for him to do his ablutions so I know he is okay in that direction.
Conn, stick in your postcode here and it'll tell you where you'll be able to find Jo Malone stuff.
Here's a link about Lidl's perfume Conn. (LOL mean Laugh out Loud)

What's this Jo Malone malarky all about them. I'm on their website now having a gander... they keep saying cologne so does that mean it's only for men?
Jo Malone call all their scents Cologne. I had the Orange Blossom one. I`m not a fan of Jo Malone and it was given to me but it was OK because it actually smelled of flowers and wasn`t one of the weird concoctions they create.
Oh I see. I might go to one of their branches and have a look some time.
