Does anyone know why it's considered by some unlucky to cross cutlery?
Sorry if it's the wrong place to ask. Didn't know where else to put it.
What superstitions do you or someone you know have?

Crossed cutlery foretells a quarrel, Cupid.
I try not to be superstitious but I'm Irish...we have many. I won't allow peacock feathers in the house....really bad luck to do that..x
Is that right gness, not even if there still attached to the bird ? ;-)

Are there a lot of peacocks in Ireland. Beautiful birds, but noisy blighters
aren't they?
Psssssst cupid, gness has got a catapult !.
I always salute one Magpie when I see them... bonkers I know ... but I can't help it.
Attached to the bird or not...Irish or British...they don't get in.
They are beautiful birds but the tail feathers are so unlucky.....x
I've found it unlucky to compare a certain user with Dora Bryan. LOL
Morning Mr Magpie...how's the family? I do that...daughter sighs....x
Oh...I haven't started yet, Rusty....the wax is melting as we speak....☺..x
lol, he's dead.
Cupid, it's bad luck to cross knives because........................it just is. My grandma said so. (Along with another million do's and don'ts)
Is it not like the don't walk under a ladder, don't put an umbrella up in the house and the Black cat thing.
Oh yes and don't step on a paving slab with a crack in it ( foot path's ).
Put that voodoo doll down gness:-)

Fingers crossed, but I don't really have any superstitions!
Must admit if I found myself at a table with thirteen people I'd bring an extra chair...set an extra place and put one of the kids teddies or dolls on the chair.
I would also include it in the conversation during the evening...not that I am really superstitious...;-)
Too late, Rusty....Dora Bryan indeed!
I'm not superstitous.....Touch wood...
Apparently - so I was told, it's unlucky to eat off wood.....
It is really bad luck to take your new shoes off the table, put them on, then go for a stroll and step on a crack on the sidewalk whilst walking under a ladder upon which a black cat is perched washing windows with a bunch of peacock feathers.
