Our new quiz is now available for you to buy at £1.00 per sheet. This latest quiz is entitled 'Britain's Pretty Places'.

The first prize on offer is £25.00 with two smaller consolation prizes to be drawn at random from all entries submitted, whether all-correct or not.

Forty clues, some cryptic, will hopefully guide you to the names of pretty locations in Great Britain and the Isle of Man.

The closing date is Wednesday, 27th August, 2014.

Please send £1.00 (cheques payable to St. Guthlac's Ladies' Guild) and a stamped addressed envelope to:-

Kay,
4, Florence Way,
Market Deeping,
PETERBOROUGH,
PE6 8PG.

Happy quizzing.

I will probably enter it on the Quiz Bank website for download but haven't done it yet. At present, I'm busy printing off answer sheets to the last quiz and copies of the new quiz.
Thanks for the reply and well done on the sum raised with the last quiz.
Hi, have just receive a copy of my answer sheet but no new quiz for which I have already paid. Can it be sent to me by e mail please?

Is your postcode still SO50 7FX? If so, I will post you a new quiz out. The two ladies who now deal with all internet sales had a great number of entries, new quizzes, cheques, & answer sheets to deal with. I'm sure you will forgive them for slipping up on this occasion. I don't think you will want to post your e-mail address on here.

Let me know, via this thread, if you are happy for me to post the new quiz out to you.
That would be fab, thank you. J.

It's on its way.
Kay, Should your answer to number 2 contain eleven letters, not ten?
Question Author
Yes, it should. We have also found a reference where the place name is spelled without the last 'i' so you can spell it with or without when you return your quiz sheet. Either spelling will be accepted.
I am ready for posting this quiz off. I normally send £1 cheque with SAE for next one when ready. I seem to remember although may be mixing it up with another quiz I do, that this is the quiz setter's last one and someone else will be doing the next. Am I right or have I got it wrong. If right do I still send my cheque for the next or wait until new one is advertised. Apologies if wrong.
Question Author
You are quite right. Someone else will be taking over from me as compiler when the current quiz closes next month. Please continue to give us your support as you have done in the past.
Thank you for confirming that, I couldn't remember if it was this quiz. I will continue giving support but can I send the cheque for the next one to you with my answer sheet and ask that you pass it on or do I wait for the next to be advertised. Many thanks for your past quizzes.
Question Author
Thank you. Yes please, send your cheque for the new quiz with your answer sheet to the current one, plus stamped addressed envelope.
