Logo Help Please

[Thursday]

I'm stuck on two logos and would appreciate any help or clues please:
1. A Knight holding a shield with the St George Cross on, facing left.
Similar to Britannia logo but facing left and no Union Jack.
2. A triquetra logo with three interlocking double ovals. The left has just a black outline, the right is infilled with yellow and the bottom one is green.

Well the Daily Express logo fits your description exactly, so why is it not quite right?

The sword on the shield appears to take up the whole width of the vertical part of the George Cross whereas the sword in the Daily Express logo has red around it.
Unfortunately it is a very poor reproduction so I think it best to go back and double check with the organiser. Thanks for your help.
Any clues on the second logo please?

Thank you Gromit, I'm now pretty sure it is Daily Express, just with a very poor reproduction of the logo.
