Maths Problem On Today, Radio 4, This Morning.

It seemed fairly simple for a change.
Someone spends 40% of their working day at one task, 1/4 at another, and the remaining 3.5 hours doing something else. How long was their day?
I make it 10 hours. 3.5 hours representing 35% of the day.
Was this a particularly easy one?

Got to be Sandy.... 40%+25%(1/4)=65%. 3.5hours is therefor 35% (100%-65%=35%) 100% is 10 hours.
