Why Has Starmer Painted Himself Into A Corner.....

Even he must realise how useless the chancellor is.
Another 4 years of this and we're doomed. You'd think the PM would at least leave himself the option of a shuffle at some point.

He always conveniently knows nothing about the organisation he is heading or holding a senior position. As director of public prosecutions, he always seemed to be kept in the dark whenever his senior staff were handling a particularly hot potato. He was never told about investigations into Jimmy Savile or Mohamed Fayed, for example. New evidence that came to light about Andrew Malkinson, wrongly convicted of rape, “never crossed his desk”, we are told. He was “not aware” that the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) was wrongly prosecuting postmasters under his watch. When Louise Haigh was appointed by him as Transport Secretary, she did not disclose the full truth about her previous criminal conviction. Now he needs to pretend that he knows nothing better than what he is told by Reeves. He can however instantly transmogrify into the hero of the hour if an opportunity presents itself. He even wrote in his biography that he was the one the man who oversaw the first ever UK prosecution of al-Qaeda terrorists; secured the successful retrial of terrorists involved in a suicide bombing plot; prosecuted MPs for fiddling their expenses and brought the killers of Stephen Lawrence to justice. He is a chancer and a fraud. He always find somene to blame for his mistakes and steals the credit from the hard work of others.
With a nod to Gordon Rayner of the Telegraph.
Well, yes, I've always thought that Starmer was there to lull the electorate into electing Labour, but that Red Raynor was the party's real choice and would be supplanting the hapless KS once the initial furore over the horrible 'reforms' was past. Thereby putting someone in charge who had nothing to do with WFA etc., but somehow can't find time to change things and gains another honeymoon period.
Have I lived too long? Become too cynical?
On a brighter note. Hope ho have OH home end of week - no thanks to NHS who saw the age '91' and were content to let him 'be comfortable and slip away' before I entered the fray. Then they were good.
You've been warned.
