Riddle

Does anyone know what this riddle means.
If all the world was paper,
and all the saes was ink, and all the trees was bread & cheese what would we have to drink?

It's a nursery rhyme not a riddle.

Bit of an explanation-if the seas were ink then it would rain ink and you can't drink ink so it's a rhetorical question!

But ink is water based - make a fire using paper - and you could condense the resulting gas that would be water.

I first heard this rhyme when I was about 8 - and my reply was basically what I said above
