i imagine you may be looking for 1, table = 4, chair = 4, diner = 2 ( = 10) - but as is usually the case on 'riddles' there will be some extraordinary answer, and there must lots, eg, pedestal table = 1, the seating is bench = 2 or 4, and whoever may be sat there might not have any legs, maybe the 10 legs you see are on a different table etc etc etc .. aw-gwon gwon tell us! - just thought there may by lots of people sat with legs on table (strewth i'm getting chocker now - must dash dog just fell off table.

Anyone sitting at the table must be sitting on a chair ie with 4 legs?
So the answer is one person
table = 4 legs
chair = 4 legs
person = 2 legs
