Puzzle Monthly Issue 1 - Giant Prize Crossword

Of the three related words required, I am sure of "GALE" and "BREEZE" but the third wind related word (49 down) has me stumped. It is of six letters and I have S?L?E? but I am only really confident about the "L" The "S" comes from the last letter of 47 across "RECESS" (clue - Niche,Cove) and the "E" from ninth letter of 60 across "SHORT-LIVED" (clue - Brief). Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Well done shaneyeystar2 - that's cracked it! Instead of "overt" I had "exeat" for 73 down (not a good fit, I know) which is what pointed me to "wind-related" since with "exeat" for 73 down, 72 across had to be "breeze".
Given that I put everyone on a wild goose chase looking for wind-related words, grasscarp's "solano" was an inspired suggestion - I was still looking for an answer to 60 across that would fit with this when shaneystar2's "silver" came along and I still cannot find "solano" in any of my conventional dictionaries - shows the value of Wikipedia! I shall keep the list of winds drawn attention to by mazie for future reference - many of the winds listed are again quite obscure. Thanks to all for a most useful exchange!
